Thinking Aloud

Food, Food and more Food

The past few weeks have really been exceptional, on top of everything that's happened I was also able to try out new resto's that have really widened my worn out palette.

So here's the list of the new resto's I've been to and the different cuisines (if you could call it that), that I've tried;

1. Karate Kid - although I ordered one of their squid meals, the one thing that I remembered was having a taste of their tuna sashimi. This was the first time I was to try raw fish so I was a bit apprehensive. Well I know that I have a strong stomach but I haven't been faced with the task of eating raw fish before. So, throwing caution in the wind I decided to have a go at it. It tasted weird, tasted like fish (hey I was expecting it to taste differently), to tell you the truth I didn't like the taste that much but hey it was well worth the experience.

2. Man Hann - I personally tried their beef and broccoli meal which turned out to be very sumptuous. I mean it could very well feed 2 medium built individuals so I would say it was well worth it. We also had Maki which was very savory and it had like pork balls in it. It was really good and a good way to start of a meal.

3. Friday's - we ordered the fisherman's platter which included fries, fish fillet, calamares, prawns and it had 3 different dips that you could choose from. They were tartar and sour cream, unfortunately I wasn't able to take a good taste at the other 2 dips but the one I did remember was like a salsa infused with beer. I mean you could really taste the beer in it so I didn't quite dig it because I really don't like how beer tastes. We also had deep fried mushroom for our appetizer. Overall, the food there was great and the servings were really huge so if you think about it you really are getting your money's worth!
